About Andreea
I'm 23 years old and my passion is creating things, whether it's wireless cars, video games or management applications. I've helped children and teenagers use technology to create various projects at several schools and I enjoy showing children how interesting this "boring" field of computer science can be.

I am already quite familiar with the attitude of children when it comes to learning: "this won't help me at any point in my life". In my lessons I do my best to include real-world applications of the subjects I teach, both at the professional and recreational programming/engineering levels. I teach both the standard school curriculum (C++, basic algorithms, data structures) and current technologies (Python, web applications, digital electronics, robotics).
I do not focus on definitions and dullness but rather on learning by example and experimentation and building technical skills. The lessons are based initially on mini-projects that present the fundamentals of the subject and later on large projects through which I go deeper into best practices and real life scenarios.
I do my best to create a friendly atmosphere. I encourage children to express their personality and in my lessons I try to include things that they may be more familiar with: cartoons, video games etc.
