About Eric
Hello :) I am a 24-year-old physicist working in Portland, OR. I have a couple of years experience tutoring mathematics to students K-12 and 3+ years tutoring college students of all ages in science and mathematics. Physics and chemistry are my passion and in my time as a student I find so many people say they hate chemistry or they hate math, but 9 times out of 10 it turns out they just had a really bad teacher. I've always been fascinated by the beauty of the natural world and hope to show you that math and physics can be more than just a chore.

I prefer to take a student-driven approach to tutoring consisting of probing questions and emotional support while you work through the problems. I like to provide alternative ways of thinking about concepts that I find are not often presented in classrooms. Focus is on independent learning and connecting topics to things you already know. My goal is for you to develop skills to solve new problems and understand new concepts without the aid of a tutor. Of course if you are really struggling with a topic I am more than happy to explain it outright :)
