About Kristy
As a journalism graduate with experience in creative writing, research and communication, I am passionate about helping students strengthen their confidence and skills in English, writing and academic development. My teaching approach is patient, supportive and personalized to each student’s learning style and goals. I create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, practice consistently and improve at their own pace.
My lessons may include conversational English practice, essay writing, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, grammar support, creative writing exercises and research techniques depending on the student’s academic level and individual needs. I also help students develop stronger communication and critical thinking skills that can be applied in both academic and professional settings.
What sets me apart is my real-world background in journalism and storytelling combined with an encouraging and approachable teaching style. I understand that many students, especially nontraditional learners or those lacking confidence, may feel overwhelmed by writing or communication challenges. My goal is to make learning engaging, approachable and empowering while helping students become more confident writers, speakers and thinkers.

My teaching approach is patient, supportive and personalized to each student’s learning style and goals. I focus on helping students improve essay writing, creative writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, research skills and conversational English through encouragement, practice and real-world communication techniques. I believe students learn best in a comfortable environment where they can ask questions, build confidence and improve step by step.
A typical lesson may include conversation practice, grammar and vocabulary exercises, essay planning, reading analysis, creative writing prompts or research and editing support depending on the student’s needs and academic level. I also help students strengthen critical thinking and communication skills that can be applied in school, work and everyday life.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my background in journalism, research and storytelling combined with a calm and encouraging teaching style. I enjoy helping students become more confident writers and communicators while making lessons engaging and approachable rather than overwhelming.
