About Eleanor
Hi, I’m a fully qualified teacher with QTS and a background that is as creative as it is educational. I hold a degree in Musical Theatre and spent several years working professionally as a dancer before retraining as a teacher. This gave me a strong foundation in creativity, confidence building, and expressive communication, all of which enrich my teaching practice. I have taught across mainstream, SEN, and SEMH settings, working with pupils from KS1 to KS3. My specialism in Special Educational Needs has shaped my empathetic, child-centred approach, where every learner’s unique abilities are recognised, nurtured, and celebrated. I am committed to helping every child feel seen, safe, and supported as they grow in confidence and make real progress. I believe in creative, inclusive learning that is both fun and purposeful. Whether we are preparing for SATs, tackling tricky topics, or exploring ideas through play and discussion, I bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a wide range of engaging, multi-sensory resources to every lesson. Outside of teaching, I love music, dance, and art. I am a huge fan of Lego, especially the botanical collection, and I am also a devoted dog lover. I believe learning should be joyful, and I bring that joy into every session, backed by experience, care, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.

I'm a fully qualified teacher (QTS) with experience across KS1, KS2, and KS3, and a specialism in Special Educational Needs. With a strong background in performing arts, I bring creativity, energy, and empathy to every 1:1 session, creating a supportive space where children feel seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. My approach is entirely child-centred and highly adaptable. I use a wide range of engaging, multi-sensory resources tailored to each learner’s needs, strengths, and interests—whether we’re preparing for SATs, boosting confidence in core subjects, or building key learning skills. Lessons are structured but flexible: typically starting with a short, interactive warm-up, followed by focused teaching through creative tasks, and ending with a quick review to track progress and celebrate achievements. Assessment is ongoing and meaningful, guiding each next step while keeping learning fun and pressure-free. I'm passionate about unlocking potential, and I’m dedicated to helping every child make real, measurable progress in a way that works for them

Eleanor is a fantastic tutor who is patient, kind, and knows how to explain things in a way that makes sense to young learners. Due to her experience in different roles within different educational settings, she understands how children learn best and can tailor her approach to suit each child’s individual needs. El builds positive and trusting relationships with whoever she works with and this creates a safe and effective learning environment:)
Eleanor is a patient, kind, and engaging tutor. She has extensive knowledge of working with children of all ages, and is especially amazing with SEN/SEND pupils. She makes learning exciting and could encourage even the most stubborn learner to enjoy learning!
I have worked with Eleanor in a school setting and have been present in her PGCE year! She is really personable and takes time to understand different pupil’s learning styles and spends time making sure they fully understand. Eleanor has great rapport with pupils and is so imaginative in different ways to portray information, I’d recommend her to anyone!
