About Marina
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance and have 6 years of experience teaching students of various ages and backgrounds. My academic training included solo performance preparation, ensemble collaboration, and advanced music theory. These experiences shaped my understanding of both technical precision and artistic interpretation. Throughout my career, I have helped students prepare for recitals, school events, and personal musical goals.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, clarity, and motivation. I believe steady practice and positive reinforcement create lasting improvement. Students often describe my lessons as structured and encouraging. I carefully observe each learner’s progress and adjust exercises to match their needs. Supporting confidence development is an important part of my work.
Beyond teaching, I continue refining my own skills by practicing challenging repertoire and exploring new teaching approaches. Staying active as a musician keeps my instruction fresh and relevant. Watching students grow into confident performers is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my profession. My piano lessons focus on building accurate technique while encouraging expressive interpretation. We begin with posture correction, hand alignment, and relaxed finger movement. Technical exercises improve finger strength and coordination. I introduce note reading gradually so students understand patterns and intervals clearly. Rhythm practice includes counting aloud and using a metronome to develop consistent timing. Each lesson starts with warm-up exercises that prepare the hands and sharpen concentration.
As learners advance, we explore scale practice, chord progressions, and dynamic variation. I explain music theory concepts in simple language so students understand how pieces are structured. Interpretation skills are developed by discussing phrasing, articulation, and emotional expression. For students preparing for performances, we practice full run-throughs under timed conditions to simulate real situations. I also teach structured home practice methods that improve efficiency and focus.
My goal is to develop confident pianists who combine technical control with expressive artistry. I provide constructive feedback and set clear goals for steady improvement. Over time, students strengthen coordination, musical awareness, and performance confidence. I aim to guide each learner toward long-term growth and a deep appreciation for piano music.
