About Otto
I am an experienced piano tutor with more than 9 years of teaching experience, working with school students, college learners, and professionals. I believe that anyone can learn piano with the right guidance and consistent practice.
My teaching style is based on communication, flexibility, and encouragement. I understand that each student has different goals, so I customise my lessons to suit their needs. I focus on building a strong foundation in basics and then gradually help students improve their skills and confidence.
In addition to piano, I also teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and basic composition. These help students understand how music works and improve their overall performance. I use simple explanations, practical exercises, and real-life examples to make learning easy.
My unique ability is to break down complex topics into small, simple steps. I also help students develop discipline, time management, and effective practice habits. For busy professionals, I offer structured yet flexible learning plans.
I always try to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel motivated to learn. My aim is not just to teach piano but to inspire students to enjoy music and continue learning with confidence.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in compassion, encouragement, and open communication. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and motivated. In piano lessons, I focus on developing technical proficiency, rhythm, musicality, and expressive playing through structured exercises and creatively engaging pieces that challenge and inspire.
I encourage students to communicate their goals, reflect on progress, and discuss challenges, fostering a collaborative and interactive learning environment. Supportiveness is central—I guide students through difficulties, celebrate milestones, and help them develop self-confidence and resilience.
This methodology also applies to other subjects I teach, including music theory, composition, and beginner improvisation. My aim is to provide a positive and motivating environment where students grow musically, creatively, and personally, building both skill and a lifelong love for learning.
