About Laurel
I am an enthusiastic drum tutor with 13 years of experience teaching students at all skill levels. I have successfully guided around 150 students in developing rhythm, coordination, and confidence behind the drums. My teaching approach focuses on clarity and flexibility. I adapt lessons to match each student’s learning speed and goals.
Students begin with basic drumming skills such as timing and coordination, then move toward advanced grooves, fills, and musical understanding. What makes my tutoring unique is my step-by-step teaching style. I ensure students understand each concept clearly before moving forward.
I also guide students in building proper practice habits that support steady improvement. I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment. My goal is to help students enjoy drumming while building strong technical and musical foundations.
