About Kayla

I have 8 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Education in Mathematics. Throughout my career, I have helped students become more confident mathematicians through supportive mentoring, personalized instruction, and engaging classroom experiences that encourage independent thinking and academic growth.

One student struggled with interpreting box-and-whisker plots because understanding quartiles, spread, and outliers seemed overwhelming. Through interactive data analysis activities, visual demonstrations, and structured practice sessions, the student gradually developed confidence and achieved outstanding improvement in mathematics assessments.

I believe mathematics develops resilience, logical reasoning, creativity, precision, and curiosity that prepare students for success throughout education and future careers. About the lesson

My teaching philosophy focuses on building deep mathematical understanding through curiosity, logical reasoning, and practical application. Every learner begins with a comprehensive evaluation that identifies mathematical knowledge, learning preferences, confidence level, academic goals, and study habits. Based on this information, I design individualized lesson plans that strengthen core concepts while helping students confidently progress toward advanced mathematics.

Students receive instruction in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, introductory calculus, mathematical reasoning, quantitative analysis, mathematical modeling, and data interpretation. Lessons integrate conceptual discussions, guided demonstrations, visual explanations, collaborative learning, structured practice, reflective questioning, and independent exploration. Students are encouraged to explain their thinking, compare multiple problem-solving strategies, and develop flexible analytical skills that support lifelong learning.

Lessons feature practical applications from aviation, healthcare, business intelligence, environmental science, civil engineering, economics, and artificial intelligence to demonstrate the importance of mathematics in solving everyday and professional challenges. Continuous assessments, revision workshops, personalized assignments, and detailed academic feedback reinforce conceptual understanding while preparing students for examinations with confidence.

Students preparing for board examinations, SAT, ACT, advanced placement mathematics, university entrance examinations, scholarship assessments, or competitive mathematics programs receive customized preparation plans including revision schedules, mock examinations, examination strategies, and comprehensive performance evaluations.
