About Barbara

I’m Barbara, a creative and passionate Italian native tutor with over 8 years of experience working with children as a nanny and early years teacher. I love making learning fun and interactive through stories, games, language activities, and art & craft. My lessons inspire confidence, develop language skills, and encourage children to express their creativity while enjoying the Italian language.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring I believe children learn best when they are having fun! My lessons are playful, interactive, and designed to bring the Italian language to life through stories, games, and creativity. What happens in a lesson A typical session lasts 1 hour and includes: - Interactive storytelling to expand vocabulary and spark imagination. - Board games in “live” format to encourage speaking and communication in Italian. - Language activities to gently introduce basic grammar through play. - Art & craft workshops inspired by the story of the day, helping children follow simple instructions in Italian while expressing their creativity. I also provide printable resources (for example, memory cards or a themed board game) that families can use at home to keep practising after class. Who the lessons are for My classes are designed for children aged 5–10 years, whether they are beginners or already familiar with Italian. Sessions are ideal both for bilingual children who want to strengthen their skills, and for young learners discovering Italian for the first time. My experience With over 8 years of experience working with children as a nanny and early years teacher, I know how to create a positive and engaging learning environment. I bring energy, patience, and creativity into every class, making Italian learning a joyful adventure!
