About Michael
I am an engineer, parent, teacher and tutor. I help a student stay motivated by focusing what we have accomplished or learned each session and slowly building on that foundation. If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, I try to relate what I am teaching to something that are familiar with and talk through the same problem from a few different examples.

I have been teaching and tutoring for seventeen years. I enjoy working with students and helping them solve problems. I believe that Socratic questioning and practice problems get results! In a typical first session with a student it is important to pause and check the students understanding of the concepts and the why each step was taken to solve a problem.
