About Fernanda

Fernanda Cortes a complété une Maîtrise en Éducation Musicale à l'Université de Grenade (2023) ainsi qu'une Maîtrise en Recherche et Interprétation Musicale à l'Université Internationale de Valence (2021). Pendant son séjour en Espagne, elle a gagné une bourse pour participer au Cours « Manuel de Falla » en Pédagogie de la Musique, avec un accent particulier sur la stimulation musicale précoce, dans le cadre du Festival International de Musique et de Danse de Grenade (2023).

Elle a commencé ses études musicales à l'âge de 6 ans à l'Institut Universitaire des Beaux-Arts dans le programme d'éducation musicale pour enfants de l'Université de Colima auprès de la pianiste polonaise Martha Willimowska. Par la suite, elle a étudié de manière privée pendant quatre ans avec la pianiste hongroise Dr. Emöke Ujj à Mexique. En 2012, elle a été invitée par le Dr Anatoly Zatin (Ukraine) à poursuivre ses études supérieures en musique à l'Université de Colima, où elle a obtenu le Baccalauréat en Musique.

De même, elle a reçu les conseils de pianistes de renommée mondiale tels que Lang Lang, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Alexei Sokolov, Jean Dubé, Elena Tsvetkova, et Luca Chiantore, entre autres. Elle a été soliste avec l'Orchestre du Conservatoire National du Mexique et l'Orchestre International de Saint-Pétersbourg (États-Unis). Elle a participé à divers festivals et concours d'importance internationale tels que l'ELAN International Music Academy et le St. Petersburg International Music Festival. Elle a reçu le prix du Concours National de Piano Telefónica-Movistar ainsi que le deuxième prix au Concours du St. Petersburg International Music Festival (États-Unis).

En 2018, elle a fondé l'Académie d'études musicales Conzërt où elle enseigne le piano aux enfants et aux jeunes. De 2018 à 2022, elle a été sous-directrice et professeure au Centre de Formation Musicale (CIFEM), soutenu par la Fondation Cuenca del Lerma pour l'Éducation A.C. Ce programme a bénéficié à des centaines d'enfants et de jeunes de la municipalité de La Piedad à travers des activités culturelles et éducatives musicales. Son engagement l’a amenée à participer au Congrès mondial de l'UNESCO sur les politiques culturelles et le développement durable « MONDIACULT 2022 ». Depuis 2020, elle est fondatrice et sous-directrice du Festival International de Musique à La Piedad. Grâce à son engagement dans le festival, plus de 2 000 étudiants ont été bénéficiaires d'initiatives telles que la Chaire de piano Franz Liszt, les concerts pédagogiques du CIFEM, ainsi que la co-organisation des extensions du Festival International de Guitare de Paracho et Morelia.

Fernanda Cortes obtained a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Granada (2023) and a Master’s Degree in Research and Musical Performance from the International University of Valencia (2021), both in Spain. During her time in Spain, she was awarded a scholarship to attend the 'Manuel de Falla' Course in Pedagogy of Musical Education for children, as part of the Granada International Music and Dance Festival (2023).

She began her musical studies at the age of 6 at the University Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Colima, where she studied in the children’s music program under the guidance of Polish pianist Martha Willimowska. She then studied privately with Dr. Emöke Ujj (Hungary) in Mexico for four years. In 2012, she was invited by Dr. Anatoly Zatin (Ukraine) to continue her higher studies in music, earning a Bachelor of Music from the University of Colima in 2017.

She has also received guidance from world-renowned pianists such as Lang Lang, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Alexei Sokolov, Jean Dubé, Elena Tsvetkova, and Luca Chiantore, among others. She has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra of the National Conservatory of Mexico and the SPIMA Orchestra (U.S.). She has participated in various prestigious festivals and competitions, including the ELAN International Music Academy and the St. Petersburg International Music Festival. She received a prize at the National Piano Competition Telefónica-Movistar and second prize at the St. Petersburg International Music Festival Competition.

In 2018, she founded the Conzërt Academy of Musical Studies, where she teaches piano to children and young people. From 2018 to 2022, she was the assistant director and professor at the Musical Training Center (CIFEM), sponsored by the Cuenca del Lerma Education Foundation A.C., a program that has benefited hundreds of children and young people in the municipality of La Piedad through activities related to culture and musical education. Her work led her to participate in the UNESCO World Congress on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development “MONDIACULT 2022”. Since 2020, she has been the founder and assistant director of the International Music Festival in La Piedad, where she has impacted more than 2,000 students through initiatives such as the Franz Liszt Piano Chair, CIFEM educational concerts, and the co-organization of the Paracho and Morelia International Guitar Festival extensions.

Je peux donner des cours de piano à des élèves de tous niveaux (débutant, intermédiaire et avancé) et de tous âges (des enfants à partir de 6 ans, des adolescents et des adultes!). Mes cours sont personnalisés en fonction du niveau, de l’âge, des goûts musicaux et des besoins de chaque élève.

I’m a piano teacher with over 10 years of experience. I’ll help you develop your musical skills in a fun way! I can give piano lessons to students of all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and all ages (children from 6 years old, teenagers and adults!). My lessons are personalized according to the level, age, and needs of each student.
