About Haneen

I'm a third-year university student studying Management and Technology, currently in New York City for a course at Cornell Tech AI Studios.

I was born and raised in Egypt, and I always dreamed of seeing the world. As the oldest of my sisters, I learned early to figure things out on my own, for myself and for them. Nobody handed me a roadmap, so I made one.

Over the past three years, I've lived in six countries and visited twelve others, all on a full scholarship. Along the way, I attended the 31st Geneva Youth Assembly, joined an Erasmus+ program in Finland, built a business in India, ran an NGO in Ghana, launched a Kickstarter in Singapore, interned at Emiratus in Dubai, and taught English to children in Malaysia.

I know what it feels like to have big aspirations and no idea how to reach them. I've been there more than once. If you're feeling stuck, I'd love to help you find your next step. I'm the right person to come to.

About the lesson

My journey as an educator began right at home, growing up as the oldest sister constantly tutoring my younger siblings. That experience shaped how I view teaching: it isn’t just about delivering information—it is about caring deeply, building trust, and unlocking a student's confidence when they feel stuck. I treat every student with the same patience, warmth, and unconditional encouragement I give my own family.
At the same time, I bring sharp, proven strategy to every lesson. Having completely self-studied to master the ACT English, Math, and Science sections on my own, I know that test-taking anxiety is real. I break down scary exams into clear patterns, shortcut tricks, and process-of-elimination hacks that take away the fear. Having taught learners across six countries and vastly different age groups, I adapt seamlessly to every student's personality—combining big-sister empathy with sharp test mechanics.
A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)
Check-In & Warm-Up (10 mins): We start with genuine encouragement. We review homework mistakes without an ounce of judgment, turning wrong answers into "aha!" moments and unpacking the specific trap the test makers used.
Strategy & Shortcut Breakdown (20 mins): I teach a specific, self-tested trick or rule—like ACT Science graph-triangulation, ACT English punctuation laws, or ACT Math shortcut formulas—explained through relatable analogies.
Confidence-Building Drills (20 mins): The student tackles live practice questions while explaining their thought process out loud. I act as their guide and hype-person, catching flawed logic gently and celebrating every breakthrough.
Action Plan & Encouragement (10 mins): We recap key takeaways, lock in actionable formulas or grammar rules, and set a clear, manageable study routine that leaves the student feeling motivated for the week ahead.
