About Kruger
Cooking became my passion when I was encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and explore new foods. Funny enough, I was a rather picky eater growing up. But as I began trying new flavors, I discovered just how amazing and diverse the world of culinary arts truly is—and what it can offer to your palate.
Curiosity led me to wonder how the dishes I loved were made. I started experimenting at home, often failing miserably, but each attempt fueled my determination to improve. YouTube became my first teacher, offering glimpses of fascinating techniques and processes I never imagined. Those experiences sparked a deep desire to truly understand the art and science of cooking.
That passion eventually took me to culinary school after university, where I earned my Grand Diplôme from Le Cordon Bleu. The hands-on experience there taught me invaluable skills and techniques that videos alone could never capture. Cooking is an art that requires practice, patience, and understanding—the very principles I aim to share with my students.
Many people have told me that I’m a natural teacher. I take pride in being patient, approachable, and supportive, ensuring my students feel confident every step of the way. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I’ll help you unlock your potential. Qualifications & Experience:
As a Le Cordon Bleu Grand Diplôme graduate, I have expertise in classic French techniques and authentic Chinese and Japanese cooking. With hands-on experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant, I bring professional insights to every lesson. I also hold a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate, ensuring lessons meet the highest safety standards.

Perfect! We had a great cooking lesson at home with Kruger. We managed to make 4 recipes in under 3 hours. Kruger was knowledgeable and great at explaining everything. He showed us how to prepare and cook dishes that suited our tastes and household. They were simple recipes but done in an elevated way and they were pretty easy to make once he showed us and explained in great detail why we did certain things. We also picked up some really useful kitchen tricks that will make everyday cooking much easier and more interesting.
Perfect! Learning from Chef Kruger was an absolute highlight. From the very beginning, his calm and welcoming attitude made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free, even for someone like me who doesn’t have a professional cooking background. He guided me step by step through three amazing dishes: gyoza, mushroom risotto, and beef bourguignon — each with its own level of complexity, but Chef Kruger made it all feel approachable and achievable.
What truly stood out was his patience. No question felt too small or silly, and he took the time to make sure that I understood the techniques and reasons behind them. His passion for cooking is obvious, and it’s infectious — you can’t help but get excited about food when you’re learning from him.
Not only did I walk away with new skills, but I also gained so much confidence in my ability to cook more creatively and precisely. Chef Kruger was by far the best tutor I could have asked for, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to seriously improve their cooking in a supportive setting.Perfect!
