About Jade
My focus will always be on getting the best results out of anybody and enjoying the process along the way. I teach cooking because both making and eating food is something that should be enjoyed and shared with friends and family, and knowing how to cook turns needing to feed yourself into being excited to make food. While I am professional and my focus is on learning, I always leave room for enjoying the process. As a home cook of 15 years and an educator of 4 years with a qualification in Education and Training, I aim to get the best out of you.

With 4 years of experience in education environments and 15 years cooking at home, I have studied and crafted a learner-centred teaching style that puts the student first, working based on your ideas and what you want to learn. I focus on building upon existing knowledge and refining ideas explored in my lessons to make you the most capable and comfortable home cook you can be. I have worked with students from KS3 to adult learners, and have experience working with people with ASD and ADHD, and I am happy to work with anybody. My lessons can run for 60-90 minutes and will cover cooking theory, ingredient and technique knowledge and practical skills, with the aim being learning a key skill every time.
