About Owen

Teaching guitar for over a decade has allowed me to combine my love for music with the joy of inspiring others. My journey began with endless curiosity—exploring how rhythm, harmony, and emotion come together through the guitar’s unique sound. Over time, that curiosity evolved into a passion for teaching and mentoring students around the world. My style is open, patient, and motivational. I adapt lessons to individual goals and learning styles, ensuring every student feels engaged and challenged. I emphasize building both technical confidence and musical imagination. Beyond the classroom, I stay active as a performer and arranger, constantly exploring new sounds and ideas that I bring back to my students. For me, the guitar is more than an instrument—it’s a lifelong dialogue with creativity. Watching students grow from their first chord to their first confident performance is the greatest reward of my teaching journey.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons focus on building a deep, versatile, and expressive connection to the instrument. Each class combines skill development, creative exploration, and musical understanding, empowering students to progress confidently while enjoying every moment of learning. I believe the guitar should be a source of inspiration—something that challenges and fulfills at the same time.

For beginners, we start with posture, rhythm, and fundamental chords through songs that make learning enjoyable. Intermediate students refine picking, strumming, and improvisation, exploring scales and harmonic patterns across styles such as rock, jazz, and folk. Advanced players work on soloing, composition, and live performance, enhancing phrasing and stage confidence. I integrate ear training and music theory into every level to build balanced musicianship.

Each session is hands-on and creative. Whether a student wants to perform, compose, or simply play for pleasure, my lessons develop both skill and self-expression. The guitar becomes a voice of creativity and confidence, connecting students to music on a deeply personal level.
