About HUGO

I am currently studying 3rd year of Electrical Engineering, and the last year of Professional Percussion Degree at the Conservatory of Las Palmas. I have played with multiple bands and orchestras on the island, and even with some I have given concerts outside of it, or participated in competitions. I am a master of music theory, music theory, classical and modern harmony, and the entire existing range of percussion instruments, from small percussion, through the plates, instruments of Latin music ... etc. I also defend myself with the piano and a lot with the drums. In addition to music, engineering and a honors honors degree in technology science have provided me with sufficient knowledge to support subjects such as physics, mathematics, chemistry, and language. I also have an official B2 English title.

About the lesson

Depending on your needs and your level, I will try to make the classes enjoyable, that with a basic level you will be able to defend yourself in the area you need. If your intention is to learn to play the drums that you have at home, or those percussion instruments that you have never played, then we will see techniques so that you can get good sound out of it and that you feel part of the music itself. Are you tired of watching tutorials on youtube? it's pretty normal. With me you can feel part of the music from the first day, and feel that you are doing something more useful than practicing hitting a patch or reading meaningless sheet music. If your intention is to learn about harmony and musical theory or music theory, we will start from the most basic notions, we will develop your knowledge more and more until you can be self-taught without losing yourself in the path of learning. Believe me, reading sheet music and understanding what is written is like everyday language, without it, communication is impossible. The most important thing and my goal is, that you see that the music is not as absurd as some paint it, nor as complex as it seems at first. And bathe in a sea of musical culture. The most beautiful thing about being a musician is getting to understand what you are listening or playing, and then be able to appreciate the work of others and be objective.
