About Hannah

I'm a qualified teacher and specialist Mathematics tutor with a First Class Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Manchester.

I have over 6 years of experience tutoring Mathematics across GCSE and A-Level, covering all of the major exam boards, and also have experience tutoring for the STEP entrance exams. I have previously worked with home-schooled students to provide them with structure and clarity during their studies.

Testimonials:

"Thank you so much for being the most amazing tutor ever! And actually making me stand maths? I appreciate all the help you’ve given me these past 2 years so so much and I honestly wouldn’t be able to do it without you. I’ve never felt judged or uncomfortable and you’ve always been so understanding, supportive and encouraging! Thanks a million."

"Hannah has given our daughter the confidence to enjoy Maths again. She is patient. She listens to her students and finds a way to explain a way of working for them which enables them to build on a foundation. We would highly recommend Hannah."

"Hannah is an excellent tutor and my son feels happier and more confident with the subject having had weekly lessons with her in the run up to his A level exams. Hannah prepares her lessons thoroughly, covers a wide range of topics in each lesson, has an in-depth understanding of the syllabus and gives very good feedback to pupils and parents alike. I recommend her to anyone looking for a first-class tutor."

About the lesson

I structure my sessions differently for every student to help them reach their individual goals. We will discuss any work done between tutorials and address any new issues that may have arisen before moving our focus onto the main body of our lesson; usually reviewing a tricky topic or looking at past papers. I use a combination of textbook resources and exam papers to help students achieve their aim. At the end of each session we will review what we have done and set short-term targets for the week ahead to help us stay on track.
