About Skye

I am a passionate Guitar tutor with 8 years of experience teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy is built on strong fundamentals, consistent practice, and fostering creativity. I focus on developing finger strength, chord clarity, rhythm accuracy, scale practice, and music theory knowledge.

Once students are comfortable with the basics, I introduce advanced techniques such as lead playing, improvisation, and performance preparation. Many of my students have performed successfully at school events, college festivals, corporate programmes, and competitions.

Some have even pursued composing their own music or forming bands. I maintain a friendly, motivating, and structured learning environment where students feel supported to grow. My goal is to help every student become a confident, skilled, and passionate guitarist.

About the lesson

My Guitar teaching philosophy is centred on personalised learning and steady progress. I create a comfortable and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore their creativity. I adapt my teaching methods according to whether the student learns best visually, through listening, or through practical demonstration.

In addition to Guitar playing skills, I teach Music Theory, Chord Progressions, Rhythm Techniques, Scale Studies, Ear Training, Song Analysis, and basic Music Arrangement concepts. I use real-life case studies such as breaking down well-known songs to explain chord movement and melodic structure.

Students begin with mastering essential skills like proper posture, tuning accuracy, and timing consistency. As they improve, they learn advanced techniques such as fingerstyle methods, improvisation skills, solo development, and expressive playing.

I provide clear practice routines and consistent feedback to support their growth. My aim is to help students become confident performers and independent musicians.
