About Dr Sarah

I’m a PhD-qualified engineer, researcher, and STEM mentor with over seven years of experience in mathematics, statistics, physics, and science education. My academic journey spans a doctorate in Transportation Planning and Road Safety from QUT, a Master’s in Transportation Engineering, and an ongoing MBA in Financial Management—each reinforcing my analytical depth and commitment to lifelong learning. As a tutor, I combine technical expertise with a passion for teaching. I’ve worked with students across age groups, from schoolchildren to university scholars, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and conceptual clarity. About the lesson

My tutoring approach is centred on conceptual clarity, curiosity-driven learning, and long-term academic excellence. I believe students thrive when they understand the “why” behind the formulas—not just memorise them for exams. I use a blend of visual explanations, real-world applications, and scaffolded problem-solving to help learners build confidence and critical thinking in mathematics, statistics, physics, and general science.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, goals, and learning style. I hold a PhD in Transportation Planning and Road Safety from QUT, a Master’s in Transportation Engineering, and am currently pursuing an MBA in Financial Management.
