About Phoebe
I am a student at Royal Holloway University of London currently studying Computer Science (BSc). I have previous experience with tutoring Computer Science, Maths, English and German at GCSE and A-Level. I am a volunteer tutor for CoachBright, tutoring children from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have a wide range of experience working with children of all ages, both inside and outside of academia (e.g. performing arts)

When it comes to teaching, I take a less formal approach than what children are used to in the classroom. I tailor the teaching style to what the pupil feels comfortable with, e.g. visual, audio. I will start the lessons with a quick check-in and exercise on what we have covered for the week (10mins). Then I will spend the next 45-50mins doing activities to teach a new topic or go over something the student is still unsure of. I will wrap the session up with a brief overview. Additional resources will be provided every week, these will be tailored to what the student will find most helpful.
