About Brittany

I have been tutoring computer science and programming online for 4 years and I love helping students build real coding skills that produce measurable and meaningful results in their coursework and exams. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I started tutoring CS students during my junior year of college, initially helping classmates with Python and Java assignments, and grew my online practice steadily after graduation. Over the past 4 years I have helped high school students pass AP Computer Science A and Principles with scores of 4 and 5, helped college freshmen successfully complete their first semester of programming, and helped students build real projects including games, websites, and data tools they are genuinely proud of. I maintained a five-star rating across more than 95 completed online sessions in 2023. I am a genuinely result-oriented tutor, which means every session has a clear learning objective, every explanation is as clear and accurate as I can make it, and every student walks away with a smart solution and a deep understanding of how and why it works so they can apply that knowledge independently when exam day arrives.

About the lesson

My programming lessons are result-oriented, clearly structured, and designed to give every student smart problem-solving strategies and deep coding understanding that goes far beyond surface-level memorization. I cover Python from beginner through intermediate, JavaScript and ES6 fundamentals, Java and object-oriented programming, HTML and CSS for web design, C++ basics, SQL and PostgreSQL, introductory artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, video game development using Python, and AP Computer Science A and Principles exam preparation. I specialize in working through exam-style coding questions, past AP exam problems, debugging challenges, and algorithm exercises so students are genuinely prepared to solve advanced problems accurately and confidently under exam conditions. I use live coding tools like Replit and VS Code during every session so students write and run real code throughout every lesson.
