Making mistakes is okay. Not knowing everything is okay. Feeling discouraged or afraid is okay. I'm here to help you learn that you're capable, and that with time and hard work, you can learn more than you do now. I will do my best to be patient, answer all your questions, and help you feel confident about your progress and efforts!

About the lesson

I teach math, computer science, SAT/ACT prep, and more to students of all ages!

During my 6+ years as a tutor, I have worked with many bright and capable students who struggled to succeed because of self-limiting beliefs about themselves as learners. Many students have a bad experience with math, or some other subject, and tell themselves stories like, "I'm not a math person," or "I'm not a good student." Because of this, a key part of my approach to teaching is helping students foster a positive view of themselves as learners and of their ability to master difficult concepts.
