About Janya
Hi, I’m a computer science graduate in Singapore with a strong passion for teaching and helping students build confidence in Math, Physics, and ICT.
I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps and seeing students go from confusion to clarity. During my time as a Teaching Assistant and private tutor over the past 3+ years, I’ve worked with students from different academic levels and learning styles, which has helped me become more patient, adaptable, and focused on individual needs.
I believe every student can improve with the right guidance and approach. My goal is not just to help students score better, but to help them develop a deeper understanding of the subject so they can become more independent learners.
I take my role seriously and always aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

I take a structured and concept-first approach to tutoring, focusing on helping students truly understand the fundamentals before moving on to problem-solving and exam practice. I often break down complex topics into simple, step-by-step explanations and adapt my teaching style based on each student’s learning pace and needs.
A typical lesson lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, which allows enough time for concept explanation, guided practice, and independent problem-solving with feedback.
I am a computer science graduate in Singapore with 3+ years of experience as a Teaching Assistant and private tutor. This has given me strong experience in explaining technical subjects clearly and helping students improve their confidence and performance.
