About James
Computer programming has been my primary focus for 13 years. I hold a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Galway. My work helps students navigate object-oriented programming and Java.
I emphasize clean code practices and backend basics alongside Python or HTML and CSS. Many students engage with my project-based learning methods to improve their problem solving on various coding platforms. This is where the real progress happens.

Students often struggle to connect theoretical concepts to actual functional code. This is a common hurdle that I fix through direct instruction.
We move through 9 worked examples during each session to clarify logic. Coding requires patience, so I guide learners through these patterns until they become second nature.
Our time together covers API fundamentals and debugging techniques to build confidence. We will handle syntax errors and logic flows with clarity. I focus on helping you understand the mechanics rather than just the result. I enjoy seeing that moment when the code finally runs correctly for a student.
