About Ethan
I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Florida. Math has been a core part of my academic journey, from applying the basics of algebra to calculus and differential equations. I understand that learning math can be challenging, which is why I try to create an environment where questions can be asked and build the problem-solving skills rather than just memorizing some steps and equations. As a Computer Engineering master's student at the University of Florida, I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is to help students build a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. By focusing on the reasoning behind each topic, I try to encourage students develop the confidence and problem-solving skills they need to succeed both in the classroom and on exams.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's individual goals and current level. A typical session begins by identifying any areas of difficulty, followed by a clear explanation of the underlying concepts. We then work through guided examples together before practicing increasingly challenging problems to reinforce understanding. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and adapt my pace to ensure they feel comfortable with each topic before moving on.
My background in engineering has given me extensive experience applying mathematics to real-world problems, allowing me to explain concepts in practical and intuitive ways. I strive to create a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
