About the lesson

My approach to mathematics is simple: I don't teach students to memorize formulas; I teach them to understand the "why" behind them. Because of my background, I look at math as a practical tool for problem-solving rather than a dry list of rules.

In my online classroom, I utilize a dynamic collaborative digital whiteboard and a hardware writing tablet. This means my lessons are highly visual and interactive. My teaching methodology follows a highly effective three-step flow:

The Intuitive Breakdown: We dissect a complex formula or theorem using real-world analogies, breaking it down into simple, manageable pieces.

Guided Problem Solving: We solve problems together on the shared screen, allowing me to see exactly where a calculation or logical error happens in real time.

Independent Mastery: The student tackles a problem on their own to solidify their confidence, while I provide immediate, constructive feedback.

Lesson Structure & Length
A typical lesson is 60 minutes long. I find this to be the absolute sweet spot for keeping a student completely engaged without causing mental fatigue. Every session begins with a quick 5-minute review of the previous concept, followed by core concept building, and concludes with a summary of what we mastered that day.

Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed specifically for Middle School and High School students (Ages 11–16) who want to build a stress-free, rock-solid foundation in core mathematics. I specialize in helping students master:

Pre-Algebra & Core Numeracy (Fractions, decimals, percentages, and ratios)

Algebra 1 & 2 (Linear equations, graphing, solving for variables, and quadratics)

Geometry (Shapes, angles, area/perimeter, and basic theorems)
