I am a passionate piano tutor with 5+ years of experience helping students unlock their creative potential through the art of jazz. With a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology, specializing in Piano History, I bring both scholarly depth and practical insight to every lesson. My teaching focuses on jazz piano improvisation, comping techniques, and the development of a sophisticated harmonic vocabulary tailored to each student's level and goals. I believe in a holistic approach to jazz education—one that integrates theory, ear training for complex chords, transcription of iconic solos, and rhythmic precision. I specialize in supporting both The Exam Taker and The Classical Performer. Whether preparing for graded exams or refining classical repertoire, I offer tailored guidance to strengthen technique and bring clarity to theory. My lessons are designed to connect what students read on the page with what they feel and hear at the piano. We break down complex ideas into simple, repeatable steps that lead to real understanding.
