About Emily
I am currently a Diploma of Acting Student at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and have my TEFL for teaching English as a foreign Language. I spent six months recently teaching English in Japan and Korea and have a variety of experience in both classroom settings and as a one on one tutor. I
I have taught Children and Adults, native and secondary speakers, and believe that learning should be engaging and rewarding for the student.
As I am currently training as an actor, having a deep comprehension of Language forms and function is essential, as well as use of voice, tone and accent which I am happy to tie into lessons for higher level learners.

I approach my classes based on Student ability, and tend to teach English to people with a solid base but am happy to change my lessons to suit more basic levels.
I think teachers should guide students and challenge them and that language should be learnt as a whole, and not just a focus on grammar, form ect.
Teaching will be friendly and supportive, as I think a student must be comfortable to learn most efficiently.
