About Easton

In our voice lessons together, we focus on what makes your voice special — and how to develop it with care, joy, and creativity. I teach singers of all levels, and I always begin by getting to know your goals, strengths, and personal style. Every lesson is tailored to you — no rigid curriculum or cookie-cutter expectations. We work on vocal technique like breath, range, tone, and expression, but we also make space for the emotional and artistic side of singing. That means interpreting lyrics, exploring improvisation, building stage confidence, or simply feeling more comfortable in your own voice. I welcome any genre — pop, indie, classical, musical theater, R&B, folk, or whatever inspires you — and help you sing it in a way that’s technically sound and emotionally honest. I incorporate visuals, analogies, and playful vocal exercises to help concepts click and keep lessons engaging. If you’re feeling unsure or self-conscious, we go at your pace. If you’re feeling bold and ready, we stretch and grow together. You’ll leave each session with a clear sense of what to work on and how to keep progressing outside of our time together. My mission is to help you sing with more freedom, connection, and self-trust — whether on a stage, in a studio, or just for yourself.

My teaching method centers around developing each student's voice as both a musical instrument and a tool for self-expression. I use a four-part framework grounded in communication, creativity, cultural awareness, and accountability to guide lessons that are engaging, affirming, and growth-focused.

Communication is always a priority. I maintain an open, honest space where students feel heard and supported. Lessons are dialogue-based—your voice, in both speech and song, matters. This two-way communication helps us collaborate effectively and stay aligned on progress and goals.

In every lesson, we activate creativity. Whether we’re transforming a familiar melody into a new genre, exploring vocal textures, or acting through a song, students learn to express emotions musically. I use fun, personalized challenges to help students gain technique while enjoying the process.

Cultural sensitivity ensures that songs are more than notes—they’re stories. If you bring a piece rooted in your heritage or one you admire from another tradition, I help you understand and interpret it with respect and depth. We learn how music connects us, while celebrating what makes each voice unique.

I support growth through a system of accountability. Students set realistic goals with me, complete weekly vocal tasks, and receive feedback they can apply. Progress isn’t just about singing better—it’s about becoming a confident, expressive communicator.

In addition to singing, I offer coaching in related subjects like phrasing, tone control, harmony, storytelling in music, and performance anxiety. Whether you're building your foundation or preparing for a spotlight moment, I’m here to help you succeed with purpose and passion.
