About Lucy

With 5 years of experience as a guitar tutor, I have taught high school students, college learners, and elderly students who wished to start or return to music. My passion for teaching comes from seeing how music can bring confidence, peace, and happiness to people of all ages. I have proudly guided around 150–200 students, helping them learn at their own pace and celebrate every small victory. A key milestone in my journey was being asked to train a group of students for a community performance. They practised with dedication and later delivered a wonderful show that received heartfelt appreciation. Moments like this strengthen my belief in the power of patient guidance and positive learning. My goal is to make learning guitar simple, enjoyable, and stress-free. I give clear instructions, break down difficult skills, and encourage consistent practice. Every student’s progress motivates me to grow and teach with more passion. I believe that with the right support, anyone can learn to play and enjoy music.

About the lesson

My guitar teaching methodology is centred on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility. These three principles help create a learning environment where students feel supported, engaged, and inspired. Communication is the first and most important part of my approach. I explain musical topics in simple, clear steps and demonstrate techniques slowly. I encourage students to ask questions and share their thoughts so I can guide them effectively. When communication is strong, students feel more confident, which makes learning faster and easier. Creativity helps students truly enjoy the guitar. Instead of only focusing on technique, I encourage students to explore sounds, rhythms, and melodies. We experiment with strumming, fingerpicking, chord building, improvising, and learning songs that match their style. These creative activities help students discover their musical personality and make lessons more enjoyable. Creativity also allows students to understand music in a practical and expressive way. Flexibility makes the learning experience personal. Every student comes with different goals—some want to play their favourite songs, some want to learn rhythm, and others want to write music. I adjust each lesson according to the student’s learning pace and goals. If a student needs more time on a topic, we slow down. If a student learns quickly, we explore advanced techniques sooner. This flexible approach ensures that each lesson is meaningful and comfortable for the learner. I also teach related subjects such as music theory basics, rhythm practice, ear training, and songwriting for students who want to expand their musical knowledge. My goal is to guide students through a creative, flexible, and well-communicated learning experience that helps them grow as confident, expressive guitar players.
