About Arifah
As a tutor, I believe every student has unique qualities waiting to be brought out in their writing and expression. My focus is on helping learners grow by guiding them to dissect their first impressions of a text and then branch out to consider other perspectives.
This practice — applied to both classics and everyday texts — not only strengthens their academic performance in IB and IGCSE English Language and Literature, but also nurtures deeper thinking and forethought in the way they make decisions and judgments beyond the classroom.
My goal is to build confidence while encouraging critical thinking, so your child feels supported and empowered to engage with language and literature meaningfully.

My lessons emphasize analysis and critical thinking in language and literature. I guide students to explore texts deeply, ask questions, and build confidence through supportive discussion rather than memorization.
Lesson length: Sessions usually last 60–90 minutes, balancing explanation, practice, and feedback.
Qualifications & experience: As a communications student with strong experience in IB and IGCSE English, I have coached public speaking, participated in Model United Nations Conferences, supported proofreading, and guided learners in exam preparation.
Target learners: My lessons are designed for secondary and pre‑university students, especially those preparing for IB and IGCSE English Language and Literature.
