My background includes a Degree in Communications and Community Development, and professional experience Public Relations, storytelling and communications fields, which gives me a deep understanding of both the theory and the practical application of the English language.

Hello! My name is Amanda Koech, and I am a dedicated English tutor with 6 years of experience helping students reach their full potential. My background includes a Degree in Communications and Community Development, and professional experience in the public relations, storytelling and language, which gives me a deep understanding of both the theory and the practical application of the English language.

Whether you are looking to pass an upcoming exam, catch up with your class, or simply master a new language, my goal is to make conversational English feel accessible, engaging, and most importantly, achievable.

I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I don't use a "one-size-fits-all" approach. My techniques include:The Scaffolding Technique: We start with what you already know and build upward in manageable steps. This prevents "information overload" and ensures a solid foundation before moving to complex topics. Active Recall &

Application: Instead of just lecturing, I use interactive problem-solving and questioning to ensure you aren't just memorising information, but truly understanding how to use it.

Customised Goal-Setting: In our first session, we will identify your specific "pain points." I then create a roadmap tailored to your curriculum or personal goals, providing clear milestones for your progress.

Lesson LogisticsTypical Lesson Length: I generally recommend 60-minute sessions. This provides enough time for a review of previous concepts, a deep dive into new material, and a wrap-up with "action items" for your independent study. However, I can offer 90-minute intensive sessions for exam preparation upon request.

Who the lessons are for: I specialise in teaching students at the Primary, Secondary, or University level. Age Range: My lessons are designed for learners aged 10 to 18 and adults. I am committed to creating a supportive, pressure-free environment where you feel comfortable asking questions. Let’s work together to turn your challenges into your biggest strengths!
