About Juan Carlos
I'm a very enthusiastic person when it comes to learning a new language. Growing up my first languages were English and Spanish, and I learned Portuguese later in life so I love teaching the skills to learning new languages including following best practices of engagement, hands-on utility, and making sure students understand how to incorporate English into their everyday life.

My teaching techniques include a mix method approach. Including short conversations that will help individuals increase their confidence when learning English, and I typically follow a maturity level plan - where I continue to build on existing knowledge until a higher level of English is reached. I previously taught high school ESL, Media Studies, and Spanish. I have a BA in Political Science, a BA in Spanish and a BA in Portuguese Languages.
