About Benja

Hello! I am Benjamin Plaza, I was born in Punta Arenas and today I live in Santiago, I have been playing drums for more than 12 years. I have been professionally dedicated to the instrument for 5 years when I started studying jazz performance and popular music at IP Projazz. From that same year I began to take classes and participate in various musical projects such as: Vian Yovi, L1BERA, Chilopoda Humana, Mueres en el mar, La Psychoband, El Perfil de un Asesino, La Fiebre.

About the lesson

First, clarify that the way the classes are taught depends directly on the technical level and the particular interest that the student has. For beginner and basic levels, the methodology will focus more on play, intuition, imitation and the primary techniques for playing the instrument. For the intermediate and advanced levels the content is focused on study material, practice routines, music and drum texts.
