About Sage
I have been teaching piano for 4 years, and I also compose and perform music. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition with a Piano Emphasis. My approach combines technical training with creative exploration. I emphasize improvisation and spontaneous composition to inspire individuality. Beginners learn at a comfortable pace while exploring creativity early on. Advanced students refine their artistry and develop unique performance styles. I encourage students to view music as a lifelong companion. Lessons balance structure and imagination. We work on theory, technique, and expression side by side. My work as a performer shapes how I guide phrasing, timing, and emotion. My background as a composer helps me support originality and creative risk-taking. Piano lessons are about unlocking potential at every stage. Students leave with confidence, skills, and inspiration to keep creating.

My piano teaching methodology is built on ear training as a key skill. Students learn to identify chords, melodies, and rhythms by ear. This creates strong musical independence and flexibility. I also guide learners toward relative pitch and the development of perfect pitch. For composers, this approach supports fast idea-to-music translation. For digital producers, it enhances creativity without needing sheet music. Beginners learn listening skills through simple, engaging activities. Advanced students work on improvisation and complex harmonic recognition. Lessons always combine technical skills with auditory training. I focus on recognizing patterns in real music. This makes learning fun, practical, and creative. Students grow into intuitive and expressive players. Piano becomes more than an instrument—it becomes a language.
