About John
I am currently a singer and guitarist in a regional cover band. After getting my B.S. in music from Minnesota State University, I started a record label and played in a rock band that was in negotiations with Atlantic records. When that fell through, I decided to devote my musical talent to passing the gift on to others through teaching. I have been playing music for over 30 years, and guitar for over 25.

My approach is very kinesthetic. I show one small step at a time and students will mimic and practice it before moving on to the next step. Through micro-learning, they gain confidence much faster, as we can hit many small goals in each lesson, they are learning hands on the whole time, and they feel very accomplished by the end.
