As a third-year student in the College of Teacher Education majoring in English, my lessons are becoming more focused on both English language and teaching. I learn about different literary works, language research, teaching strategies, assessment, lesson planning, and how to effectively teach English to different kinds of learners. I also study literature from different cultures and analyze texts to understand their meanings, themes, and relevance to society. Aside from gaining knowledge in English, I am also learning how to create engaging activities, use appropriate teaching methods, integrate technology, and manage a classroom. These lessons are helping me develop my communication, critical thinking, creativity, and confidence as I prepare myself to become an English teacher in the future.
