About Joanna
My name is Joanna but I prefer to be called Joey. I am currently a first year psychology student. I graduated from a science high school. I was in 7th grade when I first started peer tutoring. Mathematics is a challenging subject for most students in our school and I enjoy helping them understand concepts and teaching them techniques on solving mathematical problems.

I prefer an interactive learning approach where I provide examples and demonstrate problem solving techniques with minimal participation from the student before letting them solve the problems alone. The length of the lesson usually ranges from an hour to 1.5 hours.
I am an experienced peer tutor for 6 years. I was a former representative of our school in local and international math competitions. I am currently a college student majoring in Psychology. I am capable of teaching middle school and high school students.
