About Sashi
Hi! I’m Sashi and a second-year student at Rhodes College working towards a bachelor’s in math and a minor in chemistry. Throughout high school, and continuing into college, I realized the classes I appreciated the most weren’t necessarily the subjects I enjoyed the most. Rather, it was the professors who made these classes enjoyable. As a result, I saw many of my peers struggle in classes where the teacher wasn’t engaging, responsive, motivating, etc. Seeing this, I knew I wanted to make a change in the lives of other students. I wanted to teach other students the enjoyment certain subjects can bring, even with not-so-ideal classroom situations.
This brought me to tutoring. In my approach, I try to incorporate this knowledge from my previous experiences as much as possible. I use lesson plans that introduce the topic in hand in a fun and creative way, then teach the material in an engaging method. Afterwards, I ensure my students have adequate time to practice the material on their own for additional reinforcement. As always, this method can change based on an individual student’s needs.
I have tutoring experience spanning about three years. During that time, I’ve taught middle-school math, high-school level Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Chemistry, and ACT/SAT Test Prep. Additionally, during this past spring, I’ve tutored college students in Introductory Biology. I’m also available to do more advanced math (Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, etc.), Organic Chemistry, Statistics, and Introductory Physics.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible. Therefore, I welcome any suggestions or concerns students or parents provide. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast responses. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule an appointment!

Recommendations

Sashi tutored me for my algebra 2 class in 10th grade. He was very patient and clear in his explanations on how to solve each problem, and he simplifies each lesson professionally. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.
