About Joycie

I am a college instructor of Biology for 17 years. My interest has been in the Human body in relation to health and disease, thus my major interest in Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, health and the related subjects. I have had the privilege of successfully guiding students with minimal college experience, some with GED to give them the skill and academic knowledge that they need to enter the Allied health field to become nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists etc. My students have been from varied backgrounds and age groups. It has been my great joy to see what anyone can accomplish if they have the right support and presentation of learning material.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is to always make the learning material come to life. be able to demonstrate why it is important to learn the material and how it effects one's life, the application of material I refer to it as the "so what" of learning. Make the learning come alive and practical with everyday situations and applications. help the learner see the concepts in action in their daily lives, make learning interesting and fun.
