I am a college student currently in my third year of earning my BS in Mathematics. I have tutored students throughout my high school and college career, mostly with helping fellow high school students raise their grades to be removed from Academic Probation.

I believe that it is important to let the student take charge in assignments - it would be counterproductive as a tutor to simply talk at students, trying to feed them information they may already know. I let the student determine what the next step is and help them achieve that, as opposed to simply doing the work for them.
