About Prathik

I am a college-level math tutor and computer science student with a strong foundation in advanced mathematics, including multivariable calculus, as well as complex algorithms and data structures. My expertise allows me to deliver clear, logical instruction that helps students develop deep conceptual understanding and effective problem-solving skills. About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor, my method is centered around clarity, structure, and developing strong problem-solving skills. I begin each session by understanding the types of problems the student is expected to solve. I then guide them step-by-step through how to approach each type of problem, explaining not just the solution but the reasoning and strategy behind it. My goal is to help students recognize patterns and apply the right methods confidently, no matter the problem type.

Typical Lesson Structure:
A standard lesson starts with a quick review of the previous session or the current material the student is working through—this often includes homework, assignments, or recent class topics. I evaluate the student’s understanding and address any gaps. The majority of the session is spent teaching new concepts in a clear, logical way. We then apply what we’ve covered by solving practice problems together. To reinforce learning, I assign a few targeted problems for independent practice.

What Sets Me Apart:
What makes my tutoring style unique is how I teach students to think critically about math problems. Rather than giving formulas and solutions to memorize, I show students how to analyze each problem and choose the right problem-solving strategy. This approach not only improves test performance but builds long-term confidence in math.
