About Mayavati
I'm a junior at Ithaca College working on a Bachelor of Music in classical voice. I've been studying voice and vocal technique for 7 years and taken a course on vocal pedagogy and mechanics. I'm just starting out as a teacher but I'm very excited to share what I've learned

In my own singing, I put equal focus on technique and musical interpretation, which is how I'd like to teach. I like to focus on strong breath support and opening up space for resonance, making everything feel easy and light. I also understand that strong technique is just the foundation for emotions and interpretation. Beyond all that though, I know learning takes time and patience and gentleness and that's how I plan to teach.
