My Teaching Approach
I make learning to read enjoyable, encouraging, and personalized. I use phonics, letter-sound practice, vocabulary building, sight words, reading comprehension, and engaging stories to help students develop strong foundational skills. I adapt my techniques to each learner’s pace, interests, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up: Review letters, sounds, sight words, or previously learned skills.
New concept: Introduce a reading skill using clear explanations and examples.
Guided practice: Read words, sentences, or stories together.
Independent practice: Let the student apply the skill with support when needed.
Comprehension activity: Discuss the story, characters, vocabulary, and main ideas.
Review and encouragement: Celebrate progress and provide a simple practice activity.
What Sets Me Apart
I create a patient, positive, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes. I use creativity, games, repetition, and real-life examples to make lessons memorable. My goal is not only to improve reading ability, but also to build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of reading.
