About Shreya

I’m currently studying economics and statistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a strong background in math and quantitative research. I care deeply about teaching and believe every student deserves to be treated with patience, respect, and understanding. Through my experience working with students, I’ve seen firsthand how individualized learning leads to better results, especially for students who struggle in traditional classroom settings. Many students fall behind not because they lack ability, but because they don’t receive enough one-on-one attention. My approach combines a completely judgment-free, friendly environment with structured, thoughtfully curated lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs. I prioritize clarity, confidence, and consistency, which gives students the ability to succeed academically without unnecessary stress or burnout.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be personalized, efficient, and completely judgment-free. I’m a college student studying economics and statistics, and I’ve been involved in multiple math and data-focused research projects, so I understand both the theory and how it’s tested in today’s education system.

Each session is structured to building a deeper understanding of the material. We begin by reviewing key concepts from previous lessons. At the beginning of each lesson, I try to take notice of each student's pain points, so that I can better break concepts down step by step using clear explanations, intuitive examples, and targeted practice. At the end, we'll do a quick summary and understanding check so students have a holistic understanding of the material by the time they leave.

I don’t believe in overworking students or using a one-size-fits-all approach. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching to each individual’s learning style and specific pain points. I prioritize creating a friendly, supportive environment where questions are always welcome, and students can focus on understanding and confidence without any burnout.
