About Sophia
I am a Health Science at Clemson University with experience in tutoring middle school students in a variety of subjects. I work with groups from as large as twelve, and as small as to one-on-one work. This depends on the student and the rigor of the material. I have the most tutoring experience with middle school level math and Algebra 1, but have tutored in various other subjects like biology, history, as well as English. I also have the most experience tutoring middle school students, but have continuously babysat since the age of 14, and have thus worked with children of all ages.

I have worked with a program called AVID Tutoring which prioritizes student learning through inquiry. I prefer to ask students questions that will lead them to their answers, and promote their own self-discovery. I hope to be engaging while remaining informative in my methods.
