About Thomas
Hell families! I'm Tom Johnson from Two Rivers, Wisconsin. You will find me to be an energetic, positive, experienced tutor bringing creativity to all opportunities to help learners meet their fullest potential. Given my experience designing and implementing multi-tiered constructivist experiences in shared
responsive environments, I would like to help share my varied background experiences with you.
With 27 years classroom experience and 17 years as a full-time teacher, I possess the requisite management and pedagogical skills to reach all learners. With 30 years varsity and middle coaching experience, I have proven to be a team player who understands the synergistic impact of placing the needs of the group before self. As the husband of a 17-year school administrator,I live in a world where family trips to Learning Shop and dinner talk of best practices, RTI, PBIS, and Flipthe Script are commonplace.
My life has been dedicated to meeting the learning needs of others, including my own children,the many foster children who have spent time with our family, former middle and elementary schoolstudents, high school athletes, and even adult learners. My love of challenges and my flexibility in the face of new, unique experiences (including redesigning a PK-12 music program amid Covid parameters) have bolstered my confidence to continually find provide creative solutions. I would enjoy finding out about ou and how I could best serve your tutoring needs.
