About Lucas
I’m a 20 year old student with a passion for problem-solving and helping others get to the answer. Be that in Latin, English, Ancient Greek, or Maths, I believe all three have the potential to be fun and rewarding if approached from the right angle. Growing up playing lots of team sport, I fostered my passion for teamwork and adjusting to the people around me in order to get the best out of them, and I very much carry this attitude into my teaching. I hope to inspire my students and show them a side to these subjects that can really cultivate their interests.

In my lessons, we aim to address and better each area of the subject, particularly the ones the student is not so confident in, and use accompanying textbook for the syllabus to do so. I think it’s important to keep students engaged throughout and so switching between textbook work and other research and reading is sure to keep them focused and happy. Lessons will typically be 1 hour long but can do longer if needed. I aim to teach anywhere up to GCSE, and I’m currently a 2nd year Classics BA student at Bristol studying Latin and Greek, currently on track for a 1st.
