About Merrine

Hey all! I am Merrine Mercy, currently we are a family of over 30 students studying various instruments such as piano, keyboard, guitar and ukulele. A little bit about me, I'm a multi-instrumentalist that has completed grade exams under Trinity School of Music and ABRSM. With over 10 years of experience in performance and 4 years of experience in teaching both online and offline.

About the lesson

One-on-one lessons are conducted, and the curriculum is fully tailored to the goals of the students regarding their instrument proficiency. I therefore understand student needs and devise strategies to help them accomplish their objectives as quickly as possible. Learning the instrument this manner is far more personalized than at a traditional music school where you are taught by book. Grade exams preparations are also available for Trinity, ABRSM and Rockschool.

Perfect! 4 months ago, we enrolled our 8 year old grandson and 4.5 year old granddaughter into Ms. Merrine. Merrine is a very knowledgeable, energetic and fun teacher. She is extremely professional and responsive yet warm in her communication style. I would certainly recommend her to any one who has always wanted to learn piano but never got around to it. It's such a joy witnessing my grandchildren learning the art of music in a truly warm, personal and caring way!

Perfect! 4 months ago, we enrolled our 8 year old grandson and 4.5 year old granddaughter into Ms. Merrine. Merrine is a very knowledgeable, energetic and fun teacher. Perfect! After attending just 2 months of classes she is playing Fur Elise and she new the basics only. She is very pleased with her teaching methods . When my daughter plays a wrong note she promptly corrects her.She really enjoys playing the keyboard

Having seen Merrine in and out of the school atmosphere, I can personally attest to the fact that her touch with children is an invaluable additon to her teaching skills. She is exceptionally good with children, and has the ability to make the classes fun, easy, interactive and instructional. Merrine also has an incredible ear and can 9 times out of 10 play any song just on hearing it. This is a skill she prides herself on passing on to her students, along with exemplary sight reading abilities, massive flexibility and intonation. She conducts enjoyable classes, that are a huge reason for many upcoming musicians' interest in the art.
