My interactions with students are one on one. Once I show them how the problem can be broken down into small parts they usually have more confidence .Then I ask them to do a problem like the one we just did together with my notes. If they get stuck I offer an encouraging word . If that doesn't work , I show them where they are in the problem we did together. Ultimately I help them to realise that they can do it on their own.
